Advocate Lunga Siyo, 31, is a human rights lawyer who is dedicated to using the law to attain social justice and to improve the lives of people from marginalised communities. Lunga has previously served as in-house counsel at the Legal Resources Centre, where he represented people in public interest and constitutional law cases.
In pursuit of social justice, Siyo has appeared before various High Courts, the Land Claims Court and the Constitutional Court. Some of his most notable cases include appearing before the fees commission, the Bakgatla commission, in the Inxeba film case, and the silicosis and education rights class actions.
