Palesa Lepule, 26, is the acting managing director of the Youth Leadership and Entrepreneurship Development (YLED) a non-profit organisation for the development of entrepreneurial skills in young people. YLED aims to improve the lives of youth (16â€“26 years) through innovative and scalable applications of life, leadership and entrepreneurship skills.
With a B.Com degree in Law from the University of the Witwatersrand, she worked in commercial law at Norton-Rose-Fulbright, but left to pursue civic work.
Lepule volunteers at the Con Hill Project and the Lady Liberty Clinic, where she helps educate the public on legal issues. Sheâ€™s been recognised as a Young African Leaders Initiative Regional Leadership Fellow and was invited to join the International Change Makers Exchange by Ashoka, in the USA.
